The story is about Willie Stark, a slick politician of humble birth who was based on real-life Huey Long, a Louisiana governor, but the real main character is Jack Burden, a reporter who serves to narrate the story and Stark's rise to power. Bound in 1/4 black goatskin morocco leather, black leather spine with gold lettering, backed with tan linen boards. (See Photos) Each photogravure is protected by a sheet of vellum. This Edition consists of 600 copies only.The paper was made at Cartiere Enrico Magnani. The photogravure plates were made by Jon Goodman. These books were designed by Benjamin Shiff. These books are unread and in excellent condition, with no bookplates or labels attached.
