Signed by Swiss artist Felix Hoffmann on the colophon page, with thirty-three full page wood engravings by him, eight of which are tri-colored, in its dramatic red slipcase with its original glassine wrapper and both the LEC newsletter and prospectus laid in, this is Number 1360 of 1500 limited copies of Dracula (NY, The Limited Editions Club, 1965) by Bram Stoker. With an introduction by Anthony Boucher, bound in black leather spine over black linen, with cross and figure blind stamped on front cover, gold lettering and ruling to spine and red endpapers, the book is in near fine condition a collectors copy. The delicate red end papers show minor ripples (no tears or ships) and crown has a very slight pull.
Red top stain is bright and uniform with no fading or stains. Interior contents are complete and in fine condition with no errant marks or names. The slip case is in near fine condition extremely sturdy and well intact with no tears or chips but one small slightly darkened spot to rear panel and two small spots to bottom. Both the LEC newsletter and prospectus are in near fine condition, lightly age toned with no marks or tears.The rare acetate dust jacket is in near fine condition with two short wrinkles to front, small chips to front corners and a touch of edge wear but no tears.
