ESP LTD EC-1008 Evertune Electric Guitar Black Seymour Duncan Black Winter

Hello and thanks for looking! For sale I have an ESP LTD EC-1008 Evertune Electric Guitar with upgraded Seymour Duncan pickups (Black Winter/Sentient) in great condition.

I would rate the guitar as excellent/very good or a 7/10. There are no dings, cracks, deep scratches, or any other damages. The electronics have been rewired for the replacement pickups and the controls were altered to be two volume knobs with NO tone knob. One knob was replaced with a coil tap.

Fretwork is excellent with little to no wear and everything works as it should. Under close scrutiny you can find hairline scratches (as expected with a gloss black guitar) in various areas. Still, these are only visible in the right lightning and if you're looking for them. Whoever replaced the pickups must have made some kind of error to cause this. A fairly minor issue but I know how crucial it is to disclose everything. This guitar comes from my smoke-free studio and was never gigged with.

I don't like active pickups but there are very few passive pickups that can handle eight strings. Besides the Lundgren M8 the Black Winter is the only one I've found to do the job and it sounds amazing.

It pairs particularly well with Mahogany. The Sentient is pretty straightforward and shines best for clean playing in my opinion. I do like that it's not as bassy as most neck pickups. Perhaps most notable is the Evertune bridge. I absolutely swear by this thing, especially for extended range instruments. Not worrying about tuning anymore is the ultimate bliss.

I'm personally convinced that every seven string guitar and beyond should have one. Typically the low F# and B strings vibrate so much that the notes go sharp if you have an even mildly aggressive pick attack. For me, those low strings beg to be assaulted and the Evertune let's me do just that.

The set-neck construction gets you excellent upper fret access and leaves the body wood to contribute the lion's share of tone. Another feature to note is the 26.5 scale. Most eight string guitars are 27 or longer but unless you typically play baritone guitars this can be uncomfortable to adjust to and it makes the treble strings unpleasantly tight in my opinion. The guitar is strung with GHS 10-80s and is set up in standard tuning. I really love this guitar and it is most definitely the best 8 string that I've owned.

That said I'm a family man now with young children and I just don't play as much as I used to. Please feel free to contact me with any and all questions! I will do my best to remove the listing immediately in that case but it remains a possibility. This guitar does NOT come with a case but will be packed meticulously and with an excessive amount of protection.
