Sonnets from the Portuguese by Elizabeth Barret Browning. With an introduction by Louis Untermeyer and with decorations drawn by Valenti Angelo for the members of The Limited Editions Club : New York, 1948. This is the original version in the oversized 10 by 15 format with the ornamental initial caps designed and executed by Valenti Angelo in red, blue and gold ink.

It has been reprinted many times in smaller formats without the gold leaf. Signed by Angelo on the limitations page.

This copy has been fully bound in lamb skiver over sculpted boards. The Bookbinding is by book artist Rick Tuttle and is signed and dated 2015 by him and comes with a signed artist's statement.
