The Golden Cockerel by Pushkin, SIGNED by EDMUND DULAC Edition Limited to 1500
The Golden Cockerel by Pushkin, SIGNED by EDMUND DULAC; Edition Limited to 1500. Hand-numbered 114 out of 1500. This book is in excellent unused or gently-used condition. There are no attached bookplates or embossed seals. Sharp corners, no obvious scuffs or rubs. There is some fading to portions of the slipcase and the spine of the chemise, but none to the book itself.

The only imperfection to the book seems to be some smudge marks to the metal golden cockerel in the middle of the front cover. Perhaps it could be cleaned off. Please see the photographs for best description. Also, be sure to check out our other listings at Settembrini's Selections.

A boastful, combative man in his youth, Czar Dadon has many enemies - enemies who grew bolder as he grew weaker with age. Hoping to protect his kingdom from attack, the Czar sent for an old sorcerer, who gave him the Golden Cockerel - a magical bird that always warned of danger. However, Czar Dadon forgot his promise to the sorcerer, and when danger arose from an unexpected quarter, he paid the price.
